2024 Vega Awards

Gold Award
Chapelton Vineyards
Website & Mobile Site | Wine, Beer & Spirits
Nestled in the Texas countryside, Chapelton Winery is only an hour and fifteen minutes from Houston. Situated near the charming town of Washington, the winery boasts stunning views of rolling hills and lush vineyards. At the property, guests can tour the vineyards, take a wine and food pairing class, enjoy a tasting, or even stay in one of their villas. And, of course, the site offers eCommerce for wine sales. Yet with so many possible reasons to enter the website, we have delivered clear user paths to ensure engagement and conversion.
The architecture and design is very modern and clean, which we replicated in the website’s aesthetics. The copy was written to attract wine connoisseurs without alienating the wine curious. Surgical use of parallax scrolling and video make the site seem vibrant and alive while enhancing usability. Due to technical reasons, the eCommerce store pages are on a different server and platform than the body of the website. Still, a visitor wouldn’t know the difference as we’ve designed the transition to be seamless. We did not want to interrupt any transition to the store or give anyone pause to complete their purchase. The final site layout is modern yet warm and appealing to multiple customers and potential guests.

Silver Award
JL Wood Campaign
Social Media Campaign | Food & Beverage
JL Wood is a planet-friendly winery in California that only makes Chardonnay. Their philosophy revolves around minimal processing, making every sip a refreshingly crisp showcase of the popular varietal. Committed to the well-being of our planet, they proudly embrace sustainable practices and employ cutting-edge techniques and tools to ensure that their production leaves a gentle footprint. The labels are adorned with the animals often found on the family farm, and one of their wines is a lower-alcohol product.
Our target audience is Millennial females in Central to Southern California who care about sustainability and alcohol content and are NOT looking for their Mother’s oaky Chardonnay. We focus on the winery and the vibrant acidity of the wines to project a younger vibe and lean into the brand color of orange and the animals to ensure the brand stands out. The product is new, so the message is very much centered around awareness and trial.

About the 2024 Vega Awards
Unlike other videography or digital awards, Vega serves as a launchpad for showcasing talent on a global scale, conferring winners worldwide recognition. The Vega Awards is open to all digital media companies and organizations, regardless of size, from sole proprietors on up – and everywhere globally. Digital works, and projects are accepted, including advertising, design, interactive content, mobile apps, web design/development, and audio/video productions. Vega judges are stars in their own right – experienced, senior-level digital media professionals drawn from many nations. Judges are chosen based on their experience, credibility, and availability. Judging is blind. All entrants’ information is removed from entries to prevent bias/conflict of interest. Judges score on a scale of 1-100 based on a predefined set of criteria related to the main category.
